How to care for your humidor

You have correctly set up your humidor, calibrated your hygrometer and are using good maintenance practices.

Here are some tips to help you keep your humidor in excellent working order for many years to come.

How to store:

• Always keep on a flat surface
• Never keep in direct sunlight, as this may fade the exterior finish. Sunlight may also raise the interior temperature beyond the ideal range.
• Keep your humidor away from areas of changing temperature, eg in a draft by a window, or close to a fireplace or a heater.
• Do not place anything on top of your humidor.


• Clean the exterior of your humidor with a clean dry, soft cloth, polishes could affect the wood and alter the flavour of your cigars.
• Dust your humidor.
• Do not use any cleaning solutions inside your humidor, the odour can affect the flavour of your cigars.
• Rotate your cigars every month.
